Blindsided!

No one really knows why bad things happen to good people. And no one knows why fate sometimes steps in and messes with our lives. Such is what happened to my friend. She and her husband were minding their own business when, WHAM!, they got hit by a major storm. For you see, they were having one of those strange days that all married couple go through. Her husband was in a bad mood, probably from all the stress of selling their house and all the other work that go with it. So she was trying to appease him but he didn't want to be touched at all. Of course, she figured it's just one of his moods and thought she'd just let it pass.

Well, the whole day passed but the mood didn't. By late evening, a major storm hit, they had a fight like they haven't had before! It was literally a storm - frames flying everywhere, every hurtful word in the English dictionary were hurled and threats were screamed at each other. It was quite an event - but not of the good kind! When the dust settled, the husband was packing all his stuff in his car and then drove off, leaving my friend wondering what just hit her. So she thought that it'll somehow still be okay - he just needed to drive to cool off overnight and he'll be back.

A little while later, she called him and asked him where he's going. He said he's going to Florida. She wondered why Florida and then remembered that the in-laws live there. But still, Florida's a long drive away and the fight was something not worth driving cross country drive for. Little did she know that he was going there because there was someone there waiting for him - and it's not his parents. It was another girl!

But wait! There's more! It wasn't just your typical, run-of-the-mill girl. The girl, she found out, was her husband's sister-in-law. Hah! Talk about twists! She found out because she looked at the cell phone bill and she noticed that there were so many calls to the girl - and always in the wee hours of the morning. It would have been okay because of the business they're running but not if the hours were questionable and the conversations too long.

Oh, and by the way, the girl is still married to his brother and she has 2 sons with him. Talk about messed up!

Naturally, my friend's just devastated about the whole thing. She's really not the type to give up easily though so she's already plotting about how she can win him back.
